What You Will Do:

Work from verbal, written and electronically generated instructions to set up, adjust and operate a wide variety of manual and numerically controlled auxiliary equipment in support of coating operations, within assigned area.
Within the scope and skill level of this job description assist others responsible for new parts process tryouts, run test pieces and re-operate rejected parts, following prescribed repair instructions. Check work both visually and with gauges provided.
Assist others responsible for the setup, operation, changeovers and maintenance on a variety of complex coating equipment.
Perform masking and de-masking operations; assemble and remove parts into holding fixtures. Clean out coating chambers during changeovers; clean makes minor repairs to fixturing, such as removing and replacing broken bolts or details.
Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions (such as operator's checklist) for upkeep to ensure equipment operates properly.
Use a variety of mechanical and manual devices to control product and process configuration between operations
Qualifications You Must Have:

High School Diploma or GED.
1-3 years of machine shop experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:

In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
Advanced math skills.
Proficient using calipers, and reading blueprints.
