Job Summary

We ar e seeking a tech-savvy UI/UX Developer/Programmer to lead and advance modern digital workplace technology initiatives. This role will serve as the primary resource for collaborating with business and technology end users to create holistic solutions for high-visibility projects. The developer will design and build mobile and web experiences, with a strong focus on front-end programming and modern web technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities

Res earch, design, develop, test, and integrate UX designs into JavaScript/Java codebases, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance with UI/UX standards.
Act as both designer and developer, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on high-visibility projects.
Create clean semantic HTML markup that meets WCAG and ADA/508 accessibility standards.
Provide development and support for customer-facing design systems, including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates. Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects to define and implement component requirements.
Stay current on UI frameworks and programming trends, recommending new tools and methods as needed.
Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups.
Develop responsive websites and applications using frameworks such as Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, and jQuery.
Build reusable, responsive, and interactive code libraries that meet W3C standards for HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Participate in usability reviews, conceptualization, prioritization, and strategy creation for product UX.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve related issues.
Develop well-structured, maintainable code following best practices and industry standards.
Work with team members to develop UI prototypes and validate ideas using data-driven approache s.
Required Qualifications

Hig h School diploma or GED.
Deep experience in front-end web application development with hands-on programming.
Experience creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needs.
Proficiency with storyboarding tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Envision.
Strong knowledge of human-centered design (HCD) techniques, including design, research, and usability.
Experience working with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with business and technology users to create holisti

c solutions.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)

UI/U X design or web developer certifications and training.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
Previous experience in the electric and gas utility industry.
Familiarity with screen reader tools (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA).
Exposure to front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, and jQuery.
Experience participating in agile ceremonies and methodologies.
Certifications (if any)

UI/UX design or web developer certifications preferred.
