You will be responsible for strategic sourcing and category management in Zoox's Indirect Procurement organization. You will engage and work closely with multiple business units, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, etc. This includes working cross-functionally to understand needs for third‑party engagement across the business, finding and evaluating potential partners and suppliers, drafting and issuing RFQs, leading or assisting in the negotiation of all key terms and conditions as well as pricing, managing commercial and supply chain issues, identifying and executing on cost reduction opportunities, and overall management of third‑party relationships across various categories of spend.
In this role, you will:
Support various departments in the procurement of engineering and professional services (with a focus on large‑scale commercial partnerships for business operations)
Support and inform internal stakeholders for supplier selection and management
Identify sourcing alternatives to drive efficiencies via benchmarking, competitive quotes, and engineering changes
Negotiate the cost and other terms and conditions of such purchases by collaborating with the stakeholders and legal team
Ensure a smooth procure‑to‑pay process by working with the stakeholders and finance team
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, negotiating, category management, or supply chain experience required
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with strategic sourcing, financial and business opportunity analysis, legal frameworks and contract negotiation
Demonstrated success leading categories supporting security, operations, and business scaling partnerships
Deep knowledge of spend categories and contracting models (e.g., performance based, fixed firm priceand T&M)
Familiarity with legal terms and conditions, and supplier governance frameworks
Experience working in a centrally led procurement model with enterprise‑wide scope
Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen with experience developing long‑term supplier agreements.
Proficient in ERP (e.g., SAP), sourcing platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa), S2P systems and data analytics tools.
Bonus Qualifications
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional and executive stakeholders
Professional Certifications in Supply Chain such as CPSM, CPSD, preferred.
Open‑minded self‑starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem‑solver
Salary and Compensation
$155,000 - $210,000 a year
Base Salary Range: There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign‑on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
