Client Experience Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

Crossover, Santa Barbara, CA, USA

Pay: 125.000

Job type: Contract

Most enrollment positions focus on driving numbers. This position is designed to uphold standards. Alpha is developing one of the most ambitious educational models globally. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely achieve learning gains that exceed national benchmarks, with measurable data to support these outcomes. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, independence, and practical skill development. The model is effective. But effectiveness depends on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility. You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role with handoffs. You own how families perceive us, the clarity with which they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advocate for "no" when appropriate. The objective is not maximizing enrollment. The objective is ensuring fit.

We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership organizations, or owner-operators who have directly managed high-stakes client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with sound judgment, clarity, and reliable follow-through. If your career has been built on delivering white-glove service where trust, discretion, and experiential quality define brand value, this role will resonate—applied now to work that genuinely impacts outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are hiring across La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, and South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-assessment discussions to evaluate compatibility before offering solutions or suggesting next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across various stages of the enrollment cycle, maintaining clear tracking of status and follow-up requirements.
  • Conducting campus tours, shadow experiences, and decision-focused conversations that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the model's ideal audience.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment systems (HubSpot and SIS) current and accurate to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Employing transactional or high-pressure sales methods.
  • Enrolling families with poor fit simply to meet quotas.
  • Overseeing a large team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Handing off family experience ownership to other roles.
  • Operating remotely. This is an intentionally campus-based role.
