Role Overview
Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach seeks a dynamic, relationship-driven, and student-centered Engagement Manager to help shape vibrant Jewish life at Nova Southern University.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, Broward County, the Engagement Manager will play a key role in building meaningful relationships with Jewish students and creating opportunities for connection, leadership, learning, and community. This professional will focus on relationship-based engagement, student mentorship, and innovative programming that helps students explore and deepen their Jewish identities throughout their college experience.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly relational, and energized by working directly with students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making Jewish life vibrant and accessible, and empowering the next generation of Jewish leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Student Engagement & Relationship Building

Build authentic one-on-one relationships with Jewish students across Nova Southern University through coffee chats, campus outreach, social gatherings, and consistent presence.

Serve as a mentor, connector, and resource for students exploring Jewish identity, leadership, and community.

Partner with students and staff to promote Jewish life on campus through social media, storytelling, and creative outreach efforts that make Jewish engagement feel vibrant, welcoming, and fun.

Help cultivate an engaging campus presence by identifying trends, amplifying student voices, and creating experiences that students are excited to share with their peers.

Utilize engagement tracking tools to document student interactions and measure impact.

Student Leadership & Programming

Mentor student leaders in planning and executing engaging Jewish programs, Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, and social experiences.

Help cultivate an inclusive campus culture where students from diverse Jewish backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and empowered.

Partner with staff and student leaders to implement innovative programming that reflects student interests and campus trends.

Assist in recruiting, supervising, and developing student interns, fellows, and leadership cohorts.

Jewish Life & Israel Engagement

Help students connect to Israel in accessible and meaningful ways.

Support recruitment efforts for immersive experiences, including Birthright Israel and other travel and leadership opportunities.

Campus & Community Collaboration

Build relationships with campus partners, student organizations, faculty, and university administrators.

Represent Hillel in collaborative campus initiatives and student-facing programs.

Participate in organizational meetings, team planning, and cross-campus collaboration efforts.

Support evening, weekend, and holiday programming as needed.

Who You Are

A passionate and relationship-oriented professional with at least 2 years of experience in student engagement, Jewish communal work, or related fields.

Entrepreneurial, creative, and motivated to grow Jewish student engagement.

Skilled at building authentic relationships and creating welcoming environments for diverse student populations.

Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Knowledgeable about Jewish life, culture, traditions, and Israel, with the ability to engage students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with social media, marketing, or student communications strategies is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree required.

What You’ll Receive

$50,000–$58,000 , commensurate with experience.
