About the Role
We’re looking for a
3D / Experiential Designer
who thrives on bringing ideas to life through detailed design and execution.
In this role, you’ll support the development of experiential environments by translating concepts into
clear, buildable design solutions
. You’ll work closely with senior designers and production teams to refine layouts, develop 3D models, and ensure designs are accurate, feasible, and ready for fabrication.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys the
technical and detail-oriented side of design
, while still contributing creatively to the overall experience. Growth paths are dependent on your aptitude and interests, and would likely either expand into the experience design expertise or the technical production/design engineering discipline.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand audiences, goals, and project vision
Support the development of visitor journeys, content maps, and experiential concepts
Execute engaging exhibit and environment designs that bring creative concepts to life
Approach projects from the visitor’s perspective to enhance usability and impact
Bridge the gap between
Creative and Production teams
to bring ideas to life
Create detailed
3D models, layouts, and production-ready files
Collaborate with production teams to ensure
accuracy, feasibility, and build readiness
Contribute to a collaborative, idea-driven culture where teamwork drives the best outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of relevant design experience preferred
Strong hands-on design skills with a portfolio demonstrating 3D/exhibit work
Proficiency in
Adobe Creative Suite
and Mac-based workflows
Experience with 3D modeling tools such as
SketchUp, Blender, or similar
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to own deliverables from concept through execution
Preferred:
Experience with interpretive design (museums, nature centers, educational or cultural spaces)
Conceptual sketching ability
Familiarity with industries such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, or construction
Ability to contribute to content development and storytelling
