Overview
Shoot Straight is looking for a Web Developer to support and improve our software systems and business processes. This is a varied role combining software development with operational and administrative responsibilities. Software development is a core component to this position, though role responsibilities may shift based on the needs of the business and seasonal demands. This role is full-time and onsite.

What You'll Do:
Web and Software Development:
• Develop, maintain, and improve e-commerce websites and business applications
• Build and modify web pages using CMS platforms and web technologies
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across various applications and tech stacks
E-Commerce and Operational Support
• Create and manage product listings across multiple sales channels
• Update website content, sales and promotions, and inventory data
• Assist with administrative processes and customer support

Required Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience (academic or professional) developing software applications
• Working knowledge of:
• Web hosting and DNS
• Client-server communication protocols
• Modern web application architecture (front-end, back-end, APIs)
• Version control with Git
• Basic proficiency with Linux and command line usage
• Programming experience with any/all of the following or similar:
• Compiled languages (C#, Go)
• JavaScript frameworks (React, Svelte, Angular)
• Scripting languages (PHP, Python)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of or interest in firearms or the firearms industry
• Familiarity with business operations and process improvement strategies
• Experience managing relational DBMSs such as MySQL/MariaDB
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment strategies
• Experience with or willingness to learn:
• Modern e-commerce systems (BigCommerce, Shopify and WooCommerce)
• Best practices in UI/UX, security, responsive design, and software development
• Best practices in search engine optimization
