Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and onboarding high-potential sellers, to help us build a credible and differentiated business. You will work closely with the category teams to pitch, educate, and onboard sellers onto TikTok Shop.
Responsibilities:
Engage high potential leads to join TikTok Shop via phone calls, emails, video conferencing, etc.
Continually advance a pipeline of qualified prospects based on opportunity size, readiness for platform, and ability to execute live-focused content commerce
Deeply understand the category space and target leads, and effective pitch leads
Collaborate and partner with internal cross-functional teams to coordinate resources and drive seller acquisition results
Partner with internal cross-functional teams to aid brand onboarding & integration and optimize speed
Assist with initial live streaming operations for newly onboarded brands or merchants
Minimum:
2+ years of experience in business development, vendor acquisition, or e-commerce platforms
Experience engaging with and influencing key stakeholders to drive business development outcomes
Familiarity with platform onboarding processes and best practices
Preferred:
Experience working with collectibles, luxury goods resellers, or other commodity-based sellers (a plus, not required)
Experience with livestreaming e-commerce platforms
Quick learner who is proactive and adaptable in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
Strong structured thinking, analytical skills, and sound judgement
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to drive initiatives forward
