Job Description - COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - PART TIME (MONTGOMERY, AL) (T235601)

The Communications Specialist supports the creation and delivery of clear, accurate, and engaging communications. This role produces written, digital, and visual content across a variety of platforms and ensures alignment with institutional brand standards. The position requires strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Will create and manage departments external social presence to create and maintain image for the campus. Will create digital content that align with department goals, mange social media accounts and work with UAB Communications, Marketing and Publicity, while monitoring and analyzing metrics and engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Digital content creation and editing; managing external communication

Social Media and digital management, maintain social media presence, tracking engagement and updating accounts

Develop social and digital media strategies that focuses on engagement and creating positive image for UAB Montgomery campus

Obtaining consents for photo use and coordinating with students, faculty and campus staff activities for digital content creation

Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $22.90 - $23.00

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
