The Tease is a digital destination for all things hair, beauty, and pop culture. The Tease aims to exist in the prosumer space, bringing together consumers and stylists through intelligent conversations fueled by credible information from industry experts. Our goal is to connect salon professionals, brands, and audiences through content that informs, inspires, and drives the industry forward.

Responsibilities
The Editorial Intern responsibilities are focused on conceptualizing, pitching, researching, sourcing photography, writing, and editing a minimum of 3–4 articles per week focused on nail art, nail technician brands, beauty news, trends, and other industry insights. Along with completing assigned pieces, interns will also be expected to proactively pitch relevant story ideas specific to their beat in order to meet weekly publishing goals.

This is an in‑person internship based in Madison, Wisconsin. Interns are expected to work collaboratively with the editorial and digital teams on‑site throughout the semester.

Responsibilities Breakdown

50% Writing

10% Researching (including sourcing photography)

10% Interviewing

10% Content creation and coordination with the digital team

5% Administrative support

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Enrollment in a higher education institution (preferred)

Cosmetology school graduate or professional certifications (preferred)

Experience writing for a newspaper, blog, or online publication (preferred)
