CLASSIFICATION TITLE:
Program Supervisor (Part-Time)
PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to plan, implement, and evaluate programs for the youth of Clayton County under the guidance of the Program Coordinator for the Office of Youth Services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating programs and activities such as the Youth Commission, Youth Commission Candidate Orientation, life‑skill activities, special events, and others deemed necessary in increasing program success for the Office. The position also works closely with internal and external youth service providers to assist in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Office.
Essential Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Assist the Program Coordinator with programs and services within the Clayton County Office of Youth Services.
Responsible for conducting a variety of programs within the Office which will include, but not be limited to, Youth Commission programs and activities and youth‑related special events. Encouraged to identify and develop community partnerships with other youth‑serving organizations.
Help assess community youth programming needs and submit recommendations to Office of Youth Services staff. Conduct and oversee Youth Commission meetings, special events and community service projects in the absence of the Program Coordinator. Ensure adherence to County and Office of Youth Services policies and procedures.
Develop work plans for program area.
Perform any and all administrative functions as assigned by supervisor.
Additional Functions
Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma; supplemented by one (1) year of experience in youth‑related program planning; or any equivalent training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Physical Ability:
Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements:
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors:
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
