Employment beginning: Start of season 2026-2027.
An orchestra member who has auditioned and been awarded a Standard Orchestra position will be employed provisionally for the first four concert sets. After the fourth concert they shall be considered for tenure or termination.

Application instructions: Auditions are held in Eugene, Oregon, USA, and are by appointment only. If you are interested in auditioning, please review the audition requirements and repertoire. If you decide to audition, please email your one-page resume to OrchManager@EugeneConcertChoir.org. For violin applicants, please specify which position(s) you are interested in. We will contact you as soon as auditions can be scheduled.
Violin callbacks may be scheduled on June 9 depending on the number of applicants. Determination for schedule to be made after application deadline.
Audition information
Solo – Exposition of a Romantic concerto of your choosing.
Excerpt – Mozart: Symphony No. 39, Mvt. 4 (first two pages; provided as one in PDF).
Excerpt – Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade solos (Mvt. 2, bars 1-5; Movt. 3, 4 before L to M; Mvt. 4, bars 8-9 and bar 29).
Excerpt – Bach: St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244), Erbarme Dich solo (beginning to A).
Excerpt – Beethoven: Missa Solemnis (first two phrases).
