Topa Group is partner with a Commercial AV Integrator in Santa Fe Springs, CA. We are seeking a Field Commissioning Engineer to deploy, commission, and support sophisticated AV and control system solutions. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where you will serve as the technical authority during system startup, troubleshooting, and client handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and decommission AV and control systems in active field environments
- Configure, support, and maintain platforms including Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC (Q‑SYS), BSS, Shure, Barco, Planar, Dante, and related technologies
- Utilize industry‑standard tools such as Crestron Toolbox, Extron Toolbelt, and QSC Q‑SYS Designer
- Configure and troubleshoot complex AV and control networks
- Load, verify, and validate control system and DSP code
- Perform system troubleshooting, service, and performance validation
- Calibrate displays and verify audio and video performance
- Support installation efforts including rack builds, system integration, and cable management
- Train and support technicians during installation and commissioning
Qualifications
- Extensive hands‑on commissioning experience with AV, control systems, and DSP platforms
- Strong networking and troubleshooting skills in live field environments
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with project and technical teams
- AVIXA / InfoComm CTS certification preferred (CTS, CTS‑D, or CTS‑I)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience
