Job Responsibilities
- Defines and executes product roadmap for the overall portfolio agile vision, works closely with performance lead to prioritize tasks and achieve product goals in a timely and efficient manner through the utilization of metrics and evidence-based decisions.
- Drives continuous product planning to align with organization goals and priorities to enhance predictability through effective capacity planning. Coaches teams on outcome‑based planning and prioritization with frequent delivery to improve objectives.
- Utilizes metrics effectively to develop and communicate product strengths and areas of improvement.
- Leads and coaches teams to adopt and implement agile methodologies, and promotes open communication and engagement among team members, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
- Uses advanced communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to manage and influence stakeholders while communicating organizational impediments to leadership.
- Identifies trends and generates original ideas to contribute to the development of new standards and best practices within the discipline.
- Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Collaborates with Agility Leads, Agility Lead managers, and Performance lead to drive change and consistency across the portfolio and beyond.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support for teams.
- Advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and scaling frameworks, with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at various levels within the organization, effectively guiding group discussions and decision‑making processes within the domain context.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and influence people at various levels.
- Executive presence and ability to coach multiple teams across the product.
- Technical and business acumen to work effectively within a cross‑functional Agile team. Business and/or Technology leadership and practical delivery experience required.
- Clear understanding of the value of the 12 Agile principles and ability to influence the product organization and teams to align to those principles.
- Jira and Jira Align experience required.
- Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, experimentation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training on Agile coaching, such as recognized coaching certifications.
- Product Owner Certification such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or PSPO, or verifiable equivalent experience. Experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User stories, Acceptance Criteria, Automated testing, value stream mapping, etc.
- Technical knowledge of preferred programming practices (BDD, TDD, ATDD, CI/CD, automation, etc.) to lead the team toward modern agility solutions and improvements.
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions.
