Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Head of Marketing role based in Glendale, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Head of Marketing will oversee the creation and execution of marketing strategies, guide market planning processes, and conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends. This role involves managing marketing campaigns, leading the marketing team, overseeing public relations efforts, and actively supporting sales strategies to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand positioning Act as the champion of brand positioning, story and equity.
  • Brand strategy Drive 3-year brand strategy to enable achievement of financial and brand awareness goals.
  • Consumer insights Own consumer insights to uncover awareness, usage and need states that inform and help optimize innovation and communication plans.
  • Product marketing & category development Architect the global 3-year innovation strategy and execution in partnership with Founder, senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Go-to-market marketing Ensure commercial execution of Brand/Marketing strategy is enhancing brand positioning in all channels of distribution and communications around the world.
  • Performance marketing & Digital growth Guide Digital channel growth strategy (e-commerce, Amazon, Tik Tok Shop), demand generation and merchandising via a holistic general management approach with P&L and full forecasting/budgetary responsibility with an eye toward delivering profitable growth.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required. Sephora and DTC experience preferred.
  • 10+ years relevant work experience in the cosmetic industry. Fragrance experience preferable.
  • Must be an excellent team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of the marketing teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with un-prompted follow-through.
  • Experience developing consumer insights and understanding trends.
  • Knowledge of DTC, Amazon, Tik Tok Shop and Sephora best practices including marketing, social and paid media.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven excellence in leadership and execution of DTC, Amazon, Tik Tok Shop and retailer growth plans.
