Art Director

GAUI, Doral, FL, USA

Job type: Seasonal

GAUI — Art Director

Full-Time · In-Location · Doral, FL

The Role

We are looking for an Art Director with a strong visual point of view, deep cultural awareness, and the ability to take full ownership of creative execution from concept through final delivery.

This is a social-first role. Gaui's brand presence lives primarily on Instagram and TikTok, and the person in this position should have a strong understanding of how visual culture moves within those platforms. What captures attention. What feels relevant versus repetitive. How brands build recognition, trust, and consistency over time through thoughtful creative execution.

We are looking for someone who understands that great creative work is rarely the result of what happens on set alone. The quality of the final outcome is often determined by the planning that happens beforehand and the attention given afterward.

This role requires equal parts creativity, organization, preparation, leadership, and follow-through.

You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Brand Director while maintaining significant ownership over the creative process and execution.

What the Work Looks Like

Before the Shoot

This is where much of the work lives. It is detailed, methodical, and often invisible in the final output, yet it determines the quality of everything that follows. The right person approaches this stage with one eye on the work being executed today and the other on where the brand is headed tomorrow, ensuring that every decision contributes to a larger creative vision.

Responsibilities during this phase include:

• Building shot lists, mood boards, creative decks, and production plans for campaigns and content

• Helping shape concepts, narratives, and creative direction for upcoming launches and initiatives

• Identifying and securing the right photographer, stylist, hair and makeup artist, talent, and creative partners for each project

• Briefing collaborators with enough clarity and detail that the vision is established before anyone arrives on set

• Managing casting, locations, approvals, budgets, timelines, and production logistics

• Monitoring work in progress while maintaining a forward-looking perspective on future campaigns, brand evolution, and creative opportunities

• Anticipating challenges in advance and creating solutions before they affect execution

On Set

Shoot days move quickly and require strong leadership, clear communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities during this phase include:

• Directing talent positioning, movement, energy, and overall performance throughout the day

• Ensuring styling, hair, makeup, props, and creative details are translating effectively on camera

• Collaborating closely with photographers and creative partners to maintain alignment with the vision

• Reviewing imagery in real time and making confident creative decisions throughout the day

• Managing the shot list while maintaining flexibility when opportunities or challenges arise

• Balancing creative excellence with the practical realities of production

After the Shoot

The shoot may be finished, but the responsibility remains the same. This stage is where the final standard is established.

Responsibilities during this phase include:

• Reviewing and selecting imagery with a strong editorial eye

• Briefing retouchers with clear, thoughtful, and specific direction

• Reviewing retouching rounds and maintaining quality through every stage of the process

• Organizing, preparing, and delivering final creative assets

• Adapting imagery across website, email, social media, paid media, and other brand placements

• Ensuring every asset aligns with brand standards and serves its intended purpose across channels

Core Responsibilities

Beyond individual productions, this role is responsible for helping shape and maintain the broader visual identity of the brand.

This includes:

• Defining and maintaining Gaui's visual identity across photography, styling direction, typography, color, and overall creative consistency

• Developing seasonal creative concepts, narratives, and visual frameworks that guide the broader team

• Leading campaigns from concept through final delivery with complete ownership

• Maintaining consistency across all customer-facing creative work

• Staying connected to fashion, culture, art, and the evolving visual language of social media

• Bringing new ideas, references, and creative perspectives into the brand

• Partnering closely with the Head of Marketing and Brand Director on brand initiatives and long-term creative direction

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of experience as a creative with a portfolio that demonstrates a strong and cohesive point of view

• Experience within fashion, women's lifestyle, beauty, or a brand with a strong visual and social presence

• A sophisticated understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and modern visual culture

• Proven experience leading creative productions from pre-production through post-production

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

• Familiarity with Figma, video editing, or motion design is a plus

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality

• Comfort giving and receiving direct, honest creative feedback

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability

Who This Role Is For

The right person for this role holds themselves to a high standard without needing to be managed into it. They care about the details because they understand that brands are built through consistency. They bring the same level of attention to a creative deck, a casting decision, a retouching round, and a final campaign launch. They are curious, culturally aware, and genuinely invested in the craft of creating strong visual work. They know how to prepare, how to execute, and how to carry a project from the earliest stages of development through final delivery.

Most importantly, they take ownership.

If that sounds like the way you already work, we'd love to hear from you.

What We Offer

As growing, and recently rebranded, we continue to invest in our talent, systems, and workplace experience. While we may not offer every benefit found at larger organizations today, we are actively building with the long term in mind and constantly evaluating ways to better support our team.

What we bring to our team's lives is the opportunity to have a meaningful impact within a growing brand, work alongside a highly engaged team, and contribute to a company where your ideas, ownership, and contributions can genuinely influence the direction of the business.

Additional benefits, programs, and team initiatives will continue to evolve as the company grows.

Paid Time Off (PTO) is offered and ranges from 15–18 days annually, depending on the position and level of responsibility.

About Gaui

Gaui is a women's fashion brand centered on lifestyle-driven essentials and wardrobe staples.

Founded in 2018 as MY OUTFIT ONLINE, the brand rebranded in January 2026 under a refined identity. As the company continues to grow, many of our processes, and ways of working continue to evolve alongside it.

We are a compact, highly efficient team of approximately 16–20 people, building something with intention, care, and a long-term perspective. High standards, ownership, and attention to detail are expected from everyone who joins the brand. Just as important, we believe the best work happens when people genuinely connect with what they are helping create. Those who thrive here tend to have a natural appreciation for visual cohesiveness, culture, and the lifestyle our brand represents. While diverse perspectives are encouraged, there must be a shared understanding of the audience we serve and the world we are building around the brand.
