Responsibilities & Duties
As a Marketing Team member, you will leverage data-driven insights to maximize profitability for specific brand categories. Representing brands like Smithfield, Eckrich, and Nathan's Famous, you will collaborate across departments to deliver superior products. Responsibilities include developing marketing strategies and brand plans, focusing on product quality, innovation, pricing, distribution, and promotion. You'll shape category strategies, conduct pricing analyses, and perform business evaluations to drive brand performance, working closely with internal teams and external partners to implement comprehensive marketing and innovation plans.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management: Analyzes market trends and consumer behaviors to inform marketing and product strategies; develops category strategies and conducts ongoing business analyses; collaborates with Insights for consumer research; manages budgeting, coupon forecasting, and invoicing; supports legal approvals; assists in creating sales presentations and marketing tools; engages in strategic meetings with Business Management and Sales.
Advertising and Promotion Management: Builds and maintains agency relationships, prepares brand presentations; contributes to annual marketing plans; provides feedback to partners; collaborates with Sales on strategic retail partnerships.
Innovation Management: Participates in product development, identifies target audiences, gathers insights, creates product propositions; engages in brainstorming and concept testing; launches and optimizes new products with cross-functional teams.
Leadership: Drives positive employee experience through development, coaching, and mentoring.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and 2+ years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination.
Leadership:
Experience providing training, coaching, or mentoring; managing processes or projects.
Data Proficiency:
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; syndicated data experience preferred.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication and relationship building.
Project Management:
Skilled in prioritizing and delivering high-value outcomes.
Team Collaboration:
Effective, respectful teamwork.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Preferred Skills
MBA in Marketing or related field, and experience with consumer marketing in a CPG food company.
Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
