Responsibilities

Supervise, implement and coordinate the activities and performance of personnel engaged in creating and maintaining production and inventory plans, production schedules and regulatory processes

Create and implement a plan to develop employee skills and knowledge and ensure training of employees to meet production demand and company growth

Create, evaluate and update standardized best practices to meet department and/or production goals

Manage manpower for specific area and develop labor standards

Work closely with Research and Development team for new products

Manage all levels of customer service within facility

Be the contact representative for Kawasaki within customer service area

Provide technical support to operate equipment and specified designs, understand industry packaging and shipping, as well as improve data collection

Analyze various information in order to manage customer demand and system parameters to improve efficiencies, support cost down efforts, provide customer service and to determine opportunities for improvement

Promote safety and quality within area

May manage and direct activity for trade compliance

Qualifications

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Must be able to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications

4-6 years of scheduling or planning experience managing projects and 1 year of management experience preferred

Must be a critical thinker, decision-maker, and manage and direct and evaluate the job duties of department personnel to ensure department responsibilities are performed accurately, effectively and timely

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

Ability to be able to promote automation within the area

Ability to research and identify specialized resources inside or outside of the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situation

Ability to communicate clear expectations to the resource; monitor deliverable, evaluate and record results, contact information and other data for future use
