Full Time OFFICIALS/ADMIN Tupelo, MS, US

Manage the implementation of the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB) digital strategy in unison with overall marketing strategy. This position will assist the Director of Marketing to develop, guide and implement digital marketing across all communication channels including social media, website and email marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work directly with TCVB Director of Marketing on marketing strategies for digital communications across all marketing channels.

Manage integrated digital efforts and website to complement and coincide with other marketing efforts.

Maintain proper, consistent and effective brand communication across all digital platforms.

Provide communication and guidance to all staff on digital marketing efforts.

Connect, engage and grow the #MyTupelo brand across the digital spectrum including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube.

Manage and oversee website content including images, event listings, video uploads, partner listings, home page.

Plan and implement the content calendar.

Work alongside Director of Marketing on various digital marketing projects.

Participate in partner branding and strategic marketing communications brainstorming sessions.

Generate monthly reports on digital platform performance.

Convey a sense of community and build our following based on monitoring and engagement in online conversations, valuable content and mutual sharing.

Research digital trends and incorporate emerging technologies into the digital strategy.

Protect and promote the #MyTupelo brand through ongoing contact on digital platforms while adhering to the Social Media Guidelines and voice of #MyTupelo. Maintain a high degree of professionalism with partners and staff.

Content creation including video acquisition and editing, photography, writing, and graphic design.

Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Willingness to travel on behalf of the CVB when necessary to complete the tasks of the job.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree from a four‑year college or university.

OFFICE SKILLS

Must operate standard office equipment and personal computers.

Must present an organized office that perpetuates a staff and guest friendly environment.

Ability to multi‑task in order to meet deadlines.

Computer literate in applicable software (Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and able to learn new software as needed; experience on both PC and Mac platforms preferred.

Writing and copy‑editing experience.

Must have experience in graphic design using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

LANGUAGE

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports or government regulations.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Ability to write letters and/or articles or publications that conform to prescribed style and format.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or governmental officials.

Must speak and write the English language fluently.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

Possess a valid driver’s license.

Possess proof of valid insurance if operating a vehicle on behalf of the TCVB.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and taste or smell.

Specific vision abilities include near vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to talk and hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls.

Occasionally required to stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, lift 10 to 40 pounds and drive a vehicle.
