The opportunity
Unity Technologies seeks a Senior Technical Content Marketing Manager to strategize, create, and deliver high-quality technical content (video, written, sample projects) to fuel GTM and help users master Unity tools, especially the engine and editor for our graphics and UI flows. This role drives global marketing and sales by developing a robust content pipeline to acquire, educate, and support professional game developers. Formats include articles, code/demos, and video tutorials. Success requires collaboration with Product Marketing, Customer Success, Product Management, Creative, Social Media, and Marketing to define roadmaps and execute plans for awareness, adoption, retention, and revenue. Reports to the Content Marketing Manager team lead.
This role will be integral to the overall omnichannel content marketing strategy and roadmap, requiring a partnership with the lead Content Marketing Manager (CMM) and Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to drive content and presentations, including developing talking points and messaging.
What you'll be doing
Develop and co-develop technical articles and sample code in collaboration with stakeholders such as tech artists and R&D engineers.
Create and produce short feature‑in‑action videos and tutorials using in‑editor footage to visually demonstrate workflows, best practices, and the full capabilities of our tools.
Build mini‑demos, samples, and code snippets to facilitate user experience, onboarding, and success, providing customers tangible experiences with the tools.
What we're looking for
Proficiency in using the Unity editor and confidently explaining technical concepts, including writing C# code.
Hands‑on experience creating game‑development content for customer acquisition and success.
Deep understanding of the game‑development landscape and its technical audiences (programmers, artists, designers, producers, etc.).
Proven experience in deep technical content marketing, including writing, editing, and producing video.
Multimedia production skills (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audacity).
Experience with multichannel marketing, especially pre‑ and post‑purchase customer journeys.
Proactive self‑starter who proposes and executes ideas for technical content creation.
Collaborative and willing to lead technical video projects and partner cross‑functionally (PMM, creative, events, web teams).
Ability to establish and enforce best practices for technical articles, sample code, and video content.
You might also have
Experience creating tutorials or teaching Unity.
Experience using Unity for industry or gaming services.
Developer experience.
