Job Description and Position Requirements
The Office of Science Outreach in the Eberly College of Science is seeking enthusiastic Videographers for the Science-U summer science camp program. Videographers will capture digital footage of campers and staff during program hours, edit film to create short videos with closed captioning for marketing and outreach, and deliver completed videos by dates set with the Science Outreach Director.

Responsibilities

Take necessary digital movie footage of Science-U campers and staff during program hours.

Edit video footage to create short films with closed captioning for future marketing or digital outreach utilization.

Deliver completed videos by dates determined with the Science Outreach Director.

Discuss filming, editing, and delivery schedules, and the expectations for finished video products with the Science Outreach Director before each camp assignment.

Respond efficiently to Science Outreach staff comments on videos before finalizing and posting them to requested social media channels.

Produce quality videos under time‑sensitive deadlines using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or other suitable editing software.

Qualifications

Demonstrated success and enthusiasm for video production, especially in a youth setting.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.

Reliability and ability to follow a schedule communicated in advance.

Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with Science Outreach staff.

Background Checks and Clearances
This position requires PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Benefits
Work up to 20 hours per week. Hourly wage starting at $12.70 per hour.
