POSITION SUMMARY:The successful incumbent is responsible for growing market share, revenues and profitability by prospecting for and maintaining customers needing quality aftermarket supplies while adhering to Company values for conducting ethical and honest sales transactions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Covering assigned territory by pursuing customer retention, development, and satisfactionSecuring orders by locating new prospects, determining needs, highlighting, and explaining benefits of products, and emphasizing the advantages for partnering with the CompanyHelping customers solve problems, providing technical assistance as needed, and assisting in estimating jobsFollowing-up with customers to update them on new products and/or product developments to include cross-selling other company product linesMeeting or exceeding all sales goals, increasing market share and ensuring product profitability and generating sales reports as required by managementKeeping informed on new contracts and opportunitiesEstablishing and maintaining strong and positive relationships with customers; settling complaintsAttending industry exhibits, demonstrations and meetings and assisting with booth set-up as-neededStaying apprised of new products developed by the company and by competitionInforming supervisor and other related managers of changes affecting his/her job performance and/or overall Company successMaintaining call schedules, preparing quotes and sales orders accurately and timelyFollowing-up on all leads, contract lettings and inquiries; and following-through on potential sales dealsCommunicating with Company personnel, such as service, parts, and administrative personnel to discuss customer issues or potential for parts and service salesEnsuring that supply products are delivered on time and meet all sales conditions as agreedTaking prompt action to render timely service in case of any deficienciesCollaborating with internal peers and management to develop and promote Specials, featured items and/or servicesWorking closely with the Credits/Collection group regarding the condition of customer accounts and contracts financingAttending educational and training programs covering company policies, department objectives, products services and programs, and professional salesmanship and personal growthControlling travel, telephone, and entertainment expenses, maintaining accurate expense records with receipts and submitting them in a timely mannerCOMPANY BENEFITS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION:Medical, prescription, HSA, dental, vision with buy-up plans for dental and vision plans401(k) retirement plan with company match provisionCompany-Paid Life/AD&D for self and familySupplemental life/AD&D for self and familyTelehealth Services for medical plan participantsVehicle reimbursement program via third partyCompany credit card for business expenses and travelLaptop providedMonthly cell phone allowanceJob Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required18+ Years old4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, or related area is preferredOutside sales experience preferredProficiency using Microsoft office products1+ years of past experience maintaining Customer-Relationship Management (CRM) software requiredValid driver license with adequate DMV record requiredWilling to drive to customer sites within the defined territoryAbility to attend and represent the company at industry trade shows and events requiredSuccessful pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing requiredProficiency using a cell phone and laptop requiredFollows all company policies, safety procedures and government agency rules, standards, and regulations as they pertain to the positionJob Skills Competencies:Self-starter that’s highly motivated are required for successWilling to work in a competitive, commission-based positionMakes time for continuing industry education and shares knowledge internallyMust possess strong business ethics to include insider trading prevention knowledgeOutstanding record-keeping abilities to manage credit card expenses, receipts, and vehicle reimbursement programAbility to use software products for reporting all business expensesProfessional and competent written and verbal communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Position potentially requires travel with overnight staysAbility to type data into a computer or cell phoneAbility to remain seated and alert in a vehicle for extended time periodsMust be able to tolerate occasional outdoor work when showing equipment to customersAbility to set-up display booths at trade shows and communicate with vendors and guestEmployment Disclaimer: The duties described above are general in nature for the level of work performed and are not intended to be used as a comprehensive list of all the duties, activities, and responsibilities required of job incumbents.
