Compensation

Salary Range: $154,440 – $241,313 annually. Compensation is determined based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

The Global Media Lead Director is responsible for driving MVH’s global growth through a unified media strategy that focuses on new client acquisition and efficient use of a $50M+ media budget.
Responsibilities

Lead the full transition of MVH’s $50M+ paid media investment to Publicis (OneMars), consolidating seven incumbent agencies into a single global partner and integrating planning, buying, and measurement across five banners and two regions.
Drive New Client Acquisition by expanding reach and engagement, developing acquisition strategies, and guiding Publicis to achieve measurable increases in first‑time appointments with new pets.
Lead Publicis Transition by overseeing the global migration from seven incumbent agencies, ensuring continuity of campaigns, clean handoffs, and on‑time, on‑budget completion.
Integrate Banner Media by developing and executing a unified media strategy across VCA, Banfield, BluePearl, and MVH Europe (Linnaeus and AniCura), aligning objectives, KPIs, and budget allocations.
Advance Media Platform & Technology in partnership with the Chief Digital & Information Officer to modernize MVH’s media infrastructure and enable advanced targeting, analytics, attribution, and automation.
Plan & Execute Global Campaigns by directing Publicis in the planning, buying, and optimization of integrated global and banner campaigns across paid media channels to maximize efficiency, reach, and ROI.
Measurement & Optimization by establishing shared metrics, dashboards, and test‑and‑learn protocols to track performance, optimize spend, and scale pilot programs.
Operate in a Resource‑Constrained Setting by building business cases, designing pilots, and applying challenger‑control approaches to demonstrate impact and secure funding.
Change Leadership by championing modern media practices across banners, coaching teams new to sophisticated marketing to embrace data‑driven, client‑lifecycle growth initiatives.
Stakeholder Alignment by partnering with banner client leads, finance, procurement, and global teams to ensure media investments support enterprise growth objectives.
Team Leadership by building and leading a small global media team to manage agency performance, channel strategy, and continuous innovation.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (MBA not required).
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in digital advertising and media within a global brand, consumer services company, or advertising agency.
Proven success leading large‑scale agency transitions and global media consolidations.
Deep expertise in data, analytics, and technology platforms for media planning, buying, measurement, and automation.
Demonstrated ability to innovate in consumer services marketing for high‑involvement, high‑emotional categories such as financial services, hospitality, and D2C subscription services.
Experience operating in resource‑constrained, complex, matrixed organizations with a strong track record of influencing without direct authority.
Ability to design and scale pilots, test‑and‑learn programs, and business cases that build confidence and unlock future investment.
Strong experience managing complex paid media budgets ($50M+), negotiating contracts, and optimizing ROI.
