seeking (1) dedicated and experienced Administrative Specialist III

Here Is What You Will Do
Registration Coordination; coordinate with OAA for correct placement of new students and assist with new student registration; process override requests, registration adjustments, grade change quests, late registration requests, and related duties
Assist School of Music Director with curriculum matters (monitor and coordinate with OAA for all curricular changes, scheduling, and related policy/procedural documents; compile and manage data related to program accreditation)
Assist School of Music Director and Associate Director with data related to assessment. student recruitment and retention Graduate Coordination (serve as ex-officio member of SOM Grad Committee, assist graduate director, graduate student advising including scheduling/registration/audits/policies, graduate exam records, maintain/edit graduate handbook, coordinate with appropriate staff re GA hiring, time sheets and assignments)
Scheduling/Program Coordination (collect and manage course syllabi, generate SOM course schedule and manage projected schedule in collaboration with SOM/COTA administration, serve as ex officio member of COTA Academic Affairs Committee, manage faculty load worksheet, maintain/manage graduate and undergraduate records
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications
Knowledge of academic scheduling and curriculum and related policies and procedures preferred.
Knowledge of scheduling and academic platforms such as DegreeWorks, Banner, iCollege, AirTable, Argos, and iPort, as well as facility in programs such as Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
Knowledge of the Georgia State University (GSU) campus and university procedures and policies is preferred.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to work with supervision and independently is required.
