Guardian’s Annuity Operations CARE team seeks an Annuity Relationship Manager.
Job Overview
The Annuity Relationship Manager will support all facets of annuity operations, working with internal and external partners to deliver high‑quality consumer experiences and meet performance metrics. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject‑matter expert on annuity products (fixed, variable, indexed) and related regulations.
Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails for new business, in‑force, and pre‑sale inquiries.
Act as the primary point of contact for field partners, ensuring timely and professional handling of all requests and communications.
Partner with Talcott Resolution to manage in‑force escalation processes.
Meet and exceed individual performance metrics, including average calls per day, daily schedule adherence, quality assurance call scores, and consumer survey scores.
Collaborate with Product Management, Compliance, and other departments to launch products in a compliant and successful manner.
Support day‑to‑day team activities, including covering roles during absences or increased business volumes.
Operate at a high level to consistently exceed quality goals and service‑level agreement standards.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with direct customer‑service experience.
Knowledge of annuity products, including fixed, variable, and indexed annuities.
Excellent phone‑based communication skills: articulate, polite, confident, and able to build relationships with field partners.
Experience in field training and presenting to small or large groups via Zoom or Teams.
Consumer‑centric mindset and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Independent decision‑maker who can utilize resources and logic to solve problems quickly with minimal supervision.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
FINRA Series6 or7 preferred.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to the Head of Annuity Operations Distributor Relationships and In‑force Administration, who reports to the Head of Annuity and New Business Operations.
Location
Hybrid role: 3 days per week in the Bethlehem, PA office. In‑office days are subject to change.
Compensation
Salary Range: $59,110.00 – $88,660.00. Final salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligibility for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation may apply.
