Unionville High School, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Available for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary: $2,531.

Position Summary:

The Marching Band Assistant (Percussion) will be responsible for overseeing, training, and directing the percussion section of the marching band.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be completely knowledgeable of the marching band activity, percussion, and techniques.

Communicate effectively with percussion members.

Attend band parents’ meetings.

Attend rehearsals, performances, competitions, and other activities of the marching band.

Oversee and instruct the percussion section of the marching band.

Work with the Marching Band Director and other staff to plan and execute effective rehearsals.

Select, manage, and evaluate volunteer percussion staff in conjunction with the Marching Band Director.

Advise the director of ensemble equipment and ordering needs.

Account for school property.

Prepare an end-of-season summary with recommendations for program maintenance or improvement. Submit report to director.
