Job Summary

Sell luxury furniture and accessories; guide high‑end clients through a premium sales experience. Create inspired spaces and curate luxury looks while earning unlimited commissions. Base pay plus uncapped commission.

Responsibilities

Drive sales to achieve store goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services.
Promote the Design program and assist designers in meeting sales objectives.
Consistently execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process; provide a favorable experience to all customers.
Develop and use sales skills including rapport building, needs discovery, portfolio presentation, objection handling, closing, follow‑up, and after‑sale service.
Maximize promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
Schedule and conduct professional home consultations for customized room designs.
Support design‐related functions and maintain strong knowledge of product features.
Use Podium to ensure customer satisfaction and follow‑up.
Handle customer issues and complaints, providing appropriate solutions.
Assist in phone and email support and respond to inquiries.
Support and coach new peers on product knowledge and selling processes.
Maintain the visual appearance of the store, including displays, product tagging, and cleanliness.
Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, manage records, and research payments and deliveries.
Schedule deliveries, close, and open the store as required.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience with a strong ability to close sales.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and positively influence.
Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage time and prioritize conflicting tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Must pass a background and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
Experience in luxury sales or retail.
Compensation

Base pay of $13 per hour (varies by location) with uncapped commission: 3% on design sales and 2% on other sales. Quarterly bonus potential up to $1,500, based on individual sales goals. Average annual potential after training: $36,000‑$60,000; total compensation range: $22,880‑$75,000+.
