Staff Software Engineer, Web

Poshmark is looking for a talented and creative Staff Web Engineer to build web applications with a simple user interface and solid code that impacts millions of users. The role will be dynamic and varied, requiring a versatile self-starter willing to dive into multiple initiatives.
Responsibilities

Responsible for creating web application features.
Develop scalable, high-performance, and maintainable code.
Work with web technologies built on the web, database, and caching technologies.
Tune the performance for the web application.
6‑Month Accomplishments

Get familiar with the existing web architecture and code base.
Independently drive feature development.
Collaborate effectively within the team.
Participate in technical discussions and evaluate design and architecture of solutions.
12‑Month Accomplishments

Propose ideas and changes to improve the application from performance and scalability perspectives.
Establish yourself as a technical lead for the web team.
Desired Skills

8 years software development experience, including at least 3 years building easy‑to‑use, responsive web applications.
Experience with Node, Vue, React, Angular, Ruby on Rails, NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB), and AWS is highly desirable.
Proficiency in building a web development stack.
Understanding and designing RESTful web services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Salary Range: $167,200.00 – $237,300.00 per year.
