Business Development Representative East (Windsor)

Reporting to the Regional Director Sales Quebec and Atlantic Canada, the Business Development Representative will focus on sales/marketing, program compliance, and client retention. The role works closely with the Quebec & Atlantic Canada Sales Manager and SGP Sales / Purchasing team to design, implement and administer programs that support both short- and long‑term strategic objectives of the company. The position can be located in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Eastern and offers a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Develop territory sales and meet sales objectives for the assigned territory.
Build partnerships with key customers, suppliers, and industry associations.
Business development and client retention in Eastern Quebec and New Brunswick.
Consultative selling and promotion of products and services within customer segments in the assigned territory.
Plan and conduct programs and activities (e.g., in‑services, continuing health education programs, regional meetings) that drive growth of the SGP brand in the territory.
Attend industry trade shows for the territory.
Manage chain accounts and conduct regular business reviews.
Identify opportunities in accounts that require a multifunctional team approach and work with the team to set objectives that will drive sales.
Focus heavily on building and developing the SGP base business.
Serve as the main point of contact for accounts.
Use company resources appropriately to pursue goal achievement.
Build solid business relationships in a competitive market to support growth of the current client base while meeting financial objectives.
Provide analytic insight into territory data, issues, and opportunities, utilizing all available company resources.
Manage the annual budget for territory activities and programs.
Report on new product ideas/suggestions, market trends, and competition.
Qualifications

Post‑secondary education with an emphasis on business or health care services.
Three to five years of business development or sales experience, ideally in LTC, retirement, or senior living.
Bilingual in French and English.
Own transportation.
Proven ability to build business partnerships and deal effectively with all levels of management.
Experience developing an annual business plan for a territory, focusing on business planning steps within span of control and collaborating with cross‑functional partners.
Ability to present information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing; an active listener with a qualified demeanor.
Customer‑focused attitude, with the ability to anticipate and identify customer needs while providing the best individualized service.
Travel & Workload

This role will require domestic travel to cover Eastern Quebec and New Brunswick (30% – 50%) and regular travel to interface with SGP partners. Occasional weekend travel is required for company meetings, trade shows, and/or SGP partner conferences. Some lifting of sample products not to exceed 30 lbs is also expected.
