Freelance Web Developer

Pink Motel is looking for a freelance full stack web developer to support ongoing client projects, campaign launches, website maintenance, and custom digital experiences. This role is ideal for someone technically strong, detail-oriented, fast-moving, and comfortable working on creative projects in music, entertainment, and artist marketing.

Responsibilities

Build, edit, and maintain client websites and digital experiences

Support predominately WordPress based websites

Implement custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and light PHP as needed

Assist with React or custom-coded web experiences when applicable

Troubleshoot bugs, layout issues, responsiveness, embeds, forms, and integrations

Help launch campaign pages, landing pages, microsites, and announcement pages

Work with email capture tools, tour widgets, ticketing links, Shopify embeds, presave links, and similar third‑party integrations

Optimize pages for mobile, performance, and usability

Make quickupdates during active campaign windows and launch periods

Collaborate with designers, project managers, and creative leads to bring concepts to life

Help maintain clean, organized code and documentation where needed

Support occasional QA, testing, and launch‑day troubleshooting

Requirements

Strong experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Comfortable working with custom code inside existing website builders or CMS platforms

Ability to troubleshoot front‑end & band‑end issues quickly and independently

Experience building responsive, polished websites across desktop and mobile

Familiarity with Shopify, React, Firebase, or animation libraries is a plus

Comfortable working with embeds, forms, scripts, pixels, DNS/hosting basics, and third‑party tools

Strong attention to detail and ability to match creative direction closely

Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once

Comfortable working in fast‑paced entertainment environments

Ideal Candidate

Comfortable jumping into existing projects and figuring things out

Able to translate creative ideas into functional web experiences

Calm under pressure during launches and last‑minute changes

Communicative about timelines, blockers, and technical recommendations

Comfortable working freelance on a recurring project basis

Interested in supporting innovative digital campaigns for artists, festivals, and entertainment brands

Compensation
