Student Worker- Photographer, Inkblot Marketing

Position Overview

Inkblot Marketing is recruiting for a photographer to manage photography equipment and capture images at ASUN events. The photographer will organize photos, update the ASUN website, and develop new promotional photography strategies.
Responsibilities

Attend ASUN events and take high‑quality photos that represent ASUN and undergraduate students in a professional marketing perspective.
Prioritize capturing student photos in Nevada gear and obtain stock images during slower periods.
Sign out equipment, take CSE/ASUN staff portraits, and document all photographic activities.
Capture campus and student life photos for digital backups used for marketing and informational purposes.
Maintain awareness of and update the Inkblot project‑management software, responding to requests, comments, questions, or concerns in a timely manner.
Understand and adhere to Inkblot, ASUN, and university standards and policies.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and plan at least 10 approved working hours per week for office and event duties.
Keep scheduling tools current with availability.
Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of photography principles.
Willingness to learn to use Flickr and other photo‑sharing platforms.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with photo‑editing software; Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom preferred.
Comfortable approaching strangers to request photography.
Availability for 10–15 hours per week.
Compensation and Employment

Hourly rate: $12.00 per hour.
Student Employee Level 1 – Exempt. Full‑time Equivalent: 100.0%.
