Summary
Fuller Craft Museum is offering an Artist in Residency program to emerging artists from the Brockton community this summer.
Fuller Craft Museum will host two high school students with a demonstrated dedication to artistic development and an interest in exploring careers in art related fields. This program provides the opportunity to create a work of art inspired by as aspect of Fuller Craft Museum, develop professional skills, and learn about careers in the field of art and museums.
This program will be hosted on site at the museum during the summer of 2026 with a commitment of 10.5 hours per week for 3 weeks. This is an ideal position for young artists interested in advancing their ability to generate and produce artwork, learn professional skills, and build a portfolio, in anticipation of applying to professional opportunities, or an arts-based college program.

Eligibility
Must be a current high school student. Preference given to students finishing Junior or Senior year.
Must be a resident of Brockton, MA at the time of the residency.
Must be legally able to work in the United States.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Fuller Craft Museum.
Must be able to commit to working 10.5 hours a week for three consecutive weeks on site.
Must have an active artistic practice, preference will be given to those with an interest in craft related disciplines (fiber arts, ceramics, metal, wood, or glass).
Must intend to pursue a career in the arts or an arts-related field.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to complete projects and assignments outside of working hours.
Must be passionate about art and developing professional level skills.
Must be mature, creative, flexible, and responsible.
Compensation
$16 per hour
