Voter Engagement Specialist (Temporary)
Location: Indianapolis or Bloomington, IN.
Commitment: 19 hours per week for 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension to 24 weeks. The schedule may include nights and weekends. Gas and travel reimbursement will be provided when traveling outside the Planned Parenthood office.
Responsibilities
Build grassroots support for reproductive health and rights through direct voter contact and grassroots organizing.
Engage supporters and volunteers to conduct voter education door‑to‑door, over the phone, and through outreach at community events.
Work under the supervision of the local PPAA Field Organizer and with additional guidance from the Indiana Director.
Apply community organizing tactics that lead to social change.
Minimum Qualifications
Commitment to educate and mobilize individuals around reproductive health and rights.
Willingness to cold‑call and speak to strangers on behalf of Planned Parenthood.
Team player and capable of working independently.
Well‑organized and self‑motivated.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud‑based file sharing systems.
Live in or have proficiency in the assigned geographic area.
Access to reliable personal transportation is a necessity.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time is a necessity.
May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
Spanish‑speaking (bi‑lingual employees may be eligible for an hourly premium).
Salary Range
Pay range: $15.00 to $22.50 per hour (Realistic range $20.00 per hour).
Position Type
Part‑time.
Benefits Eligibility
This position is not eligible for PPGNHAIK benefits.
Other Information
All employees must present proof of a current flu shot and two doses of the Covid‑19 vaccination prior to their first day of employment.
