Job Description

The Web Specialist supports online content and accessibility for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNRMed). The Web Specialist is responsible for designing, updating, and maintaining web pages to ensure a visually engaging, accessible, and user‑friendly experience. This position works closely with the Web Strategist and stakeholders to provide content that meets organizational goals, usability standards, and evolving web trends. The position reports to the Lead, Marketing and Communications.
Responsibilities

Design, update, and maintain web pages for a visually engaging, accessible, and user‑friendly experience.
Collaborate with stakeholders, the Web Strategist, and the Marketing and Communications team to deliver content that meets organizational goals.
Ensure content meets usability standards, accessibility compliance, and current web design trends.
Support web strategy initiatives, including search engine optimization and content planning.
Utilize content management systems, basic HTML, and editorial calendars to manage web content efficiently.
Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.
Experience supporting online web strategy and search engine optimization.
Proficiency with content management systems, basic HTML, and content planning.
Knowledge of web accessibility compliance and best practices for web content.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliable follow‑through.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Compensation

GradeB Market Salary Band: $62,426 – $78,033 – $93,640
