Position Summary
Under general supervision, assists the Corporate Communications team in creating engaging, story-driven content for internal and external audiences, utilizing various digital channels. This internship has an emphasis in social media content creation, photography, video production and visual storytelling, while also providing support for broader initiatives. Contributes digital-first communications, including social media posts, short-form videos, photography, presentations and event coverage, while ensuring brand consistency and quality standards. Provides support as needed for employee and customer events. This internship is not a summer-only assignment and will be starting as soon as possible.

Education

One (1) year of college completed with a study emphasis in communications, digital media, multimedia, photography, marketing, journalism or a related field. If a recent graduate, must be pursuing post graduate hours.

Minimum Requirements

Preferred – Experience or coursework in social media content creation and/or visual storytelling.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Testing

Valid driver’s license upon hire.

Pre-employment background check & drug screen upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Foundational understanding of visual storytelling principles.

Basic photography and videography skills, including shooting, framing, lighting and composition.

Familiarity with the latest trends in social media content and short‑form video.

Basic photo and video editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects) or comparable software.

Understanding of brand standards and visual identity systems.

Strong visual communication skills.

Ability to translate ideas, messages and real world moments into compelling stories.

Ability to adapt tone and style for different digital audiences and platforms.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external customers, co‑workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.

Initiative and ability to work both independently and under supervision. (Entry proficiency)

Proficiency with personal computers, tablets, and/or other electronic devices to include familiarity with, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and enterprise wide software (e.g., SAP). (Intermediate proficiency)

Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software as required.

Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.

Essential Functions

Assist in creating social media content, including graphics, photos, captions and short‐form videos.

Capture and edit photography and video for events, day‑to‑day storytelling and campaigns.

Support story development, including interviews, behind‑the‑scenes content and profile features.

Assist with content planning and creative brainstorming for social media and digital campaigns.

Create visual assets that align with established brand standards.

Support layout and formatting of internal and external publications as needed.

Provide planning and promotional support for events, including on‑site content capture.

Provide support to other members of the Corporate Communications and Business Development teams, as directed.

Perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, mailings, department inventory, etc.
