Position Summary
Pricing Strategy Manager – part of the Commerce Product Org, responsible for shaping and executing global and local pricing strategy. Based in Los Gatos (preferred) with a hybrid work model; remote candidates on the West Coast welcome. Travel to Los Gatos required as needed.
Responsibilities
Develop pricing principles and global frameworks that integrate consumer demand, price elasticity, competitive landscape, and other factors.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Strategy Planning & Analysis, Data Science, Consumer Insights) to design and execute a learning agenda around consumer willingness to pay, price elasticity, price timing, and more.
Author memos and presentations that distill complex pricing trade‑offs into clear strategic recommendations for senior executives and regional leadership.
Establish pricing recommendations for new products or services based on projected demand and profitability.
Drive pricing planning with product, finance, regional analytics, data science, and local teams.
Build strong relationships across local and global teams, ensuring alignment and support for price change decisions.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company‑wide initiatives that would affect pricing decisions.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in strategy, product, and/or consulting with a core focus on monetization and pricing.
In‑house corporate strategy or product experience, or a mix of in‑house strategy and consulting/banking/other professional services.
In‑depth pricing experience with a proven record of architecting and driving large‑scale pricing programs and initiatives.
Experience in a direct‑to‑consumer business with global scope where the consumer pays for the service.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior across economics/finance and marketing disciplines.
Passion for Growth, Pricing, and/or Behavioral Economics.
Experience implementing AI tooling solutions to scale pricing programs/processes a plus.
Must‑Haves
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts, trade‑offs, and decisions for senior stakeholders.
Quantitative fluency to independently pressure‑test hypotheses and strategic intuition to leverage data for high‑stakes decisions (comfort with self‑serving data; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with SQL).
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and drive cross‑functional outcomes.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment; manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.
Highly intellectually curious and courageous of challenging the status quo.
Compensation
Annual salary range: $210,000.00 – $360,000.00. No bonuses. Employees choose annually how much compensation is paid in salary versus stock options.
