Director of Strategic Marketing & Commercial Excellence – Americas
Huntsman is seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing & Commercial Excellence – Americas supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in The Woodlands, TX. This position will report to the Vice President, Americas Region.
Job Scope
The Director of Strategic Marketing & Commercial Excellence for the Americas leads the end‑to‑end marketing strategy and commercial excellence agenda for the Polyurethanes business. The role is accountable for driving profitable growth through integrated strategic marketing, pricing discipline, commercial effectiveness and innovation portfolio management. This position serves as a key member of the Americas Leadership Team and oversees the Marketing organization and the Commercial Excellence function, including the Pricing & Commercial Excellence Manager.
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and lead the Americas Strategic Marketing plan
- Drive new business development and innovation pipeline
- Lead commercialization in partnership with Technology & Innovation
- Maintain market intelligence and competitive insights
- Drive asset management and portfolio optimization
Commercial Excellence & Pricing
- Lead Commercial Excellence strategy and execution
- Oversee Pricing & Commercial Excellence Manager
- Establish pricing governance and margin optimization
- Lead CRM, KPI frameworks and sales tools
- Drive NBD to commercialization pipeline
Commercial Growth Enablement
- Partner with Sales to embed commercial excellence
- Support account strategy and customer growth
Marketing Communications
- Develop marketing communications strategy
- Strengthen industry positioning
Organizational Leadership
- Lead Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams
- Build a high‑performance culture and develop talent
Governance & Compliance
- Own budgets, KPIs and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with EHS and Ethics policies
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12+ years of experience in strategic marketing, commercial or pricing roles with leadership responsibility

- Ability to work in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- Experience in specialty chemicals preferred
Working Environment
- Up to 30% travel, primarily within North America with some international exposure
