Senior Web Engineer

Poshmark is seeking a talented and creative Senior Web Engineer to build user‑friendly web applications that serve millions of users. The role involves developing scalable, high‑performance, and maintainable code, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities

Create web application features that provide a simple user interface.
Develop scalable, high‑performance, and maintainable code.
Use web technologies built on Web, database, and caching technologies.
Tune web application performance.
Participate in technical discussions and evaluate design and architecture solutions.
Contribute to and own web features, collaborate with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and other teams.
Drive feature development independently and meet milestones.
6‑Month Accomplishments

Get familiar with existing web architecture and code base.
Contribute to and take ownership of web features.
Collaborate effectively within the team and across teams.
12‑Month Accomplishments

Identify ideas or changes to improve performance and scalability.
Participate in architecture discussions and propose infrastructure improvements.
Lead feature development independently.
Desired Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years building responsive web applications.
Experience with Node, Vue, React, Angular, Ruby on Rails, NoSQL (MongoDB), AWS.
Strong understanding of building the entire web development stack.
Experience designing and building RESTful web services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Salary

$124,700.00 – $208,850.00 per year.
