About the Role
The Global Marketing Strategist will lead integrated marketing efforts for the Hedge Funds and Sustainable Investing businesses, serving as a strategic partner to business leaders, client-facing teams, and regional marketers. The role involves strengthening awareness, engagement, and consideration of Wellington’s capabilities and product offerings, as well as leading content and promotional planning for the firm’s flagship global strategic client education event program.
Responsibilities
Build and execute end-to‑end marketing strategy for the Hedge Funds platform and product offerings, translating platform strengths into audience‑relevant messaging and driving cross‑channel activation.
Serve as the lead Marketing Strategist for the Sustainable Investing platform, aligning global messaging, content, and promotion plans across regions, channels, and stages of the marketing funnel.
Ensure materials and communications are audience‑targeted and sensitive to evolving regulatory, reputational, and political considerations.
Lead marketing strategy for the flagship strategic client education event program, including agenda development, internal and external communications, and post‑event content.
Develop and execute differentiated, forward‑looking marketing plans to increase awareness and consideration of the firm’s capabilities.
Establish and monitor key marketing performance metrics, applying a data‑driven approach to planning, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Gather and synthesize client, product, channel, competitor, and market insights to inform recommendations and strengthen marketing impact.
Maintain a broad understanding of competitive offerings, market trends, industry developments, and evolving audience preferences.
Create targeted messaging and activation plans tailored to distinct investor segments, buyer stages, and regional market needs.
Build strong working relationships and collaboration forums across business, Sales, Corporate Communications, and Marketing teams globally.
Oversee budgets and resources, including annual planning, monthly tracking, and invoice management.
Manage external partners, including media agencies, advertising agencies, and production vendors.
Qualifications
7+ years of marketing experience within the investment management industry, with direct responsibility for developing and executing effective marketing and communications programs.
Strong knowledge of Hedge Funds, Sustainable Investing, investment vehicles, and the regulatory landscape.
Demonstrated success in building integrated marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and commercial impact.
Experience across multiple marketing disciplines, including product marketing, thought leadership, digital marketing, events, paid media, messaging, positioning, and public relations.
Digital‑first mindset and experience leveraging a broad marketing technology stack.
Strong analytical capabilities, with experience using data and performance metrics to optimize strategy and communicate outcomes.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Strong project‑management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and evolving deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives, cross‑functional partners, creative teams, clients, and external vendors.
Resourceful, proactive, and creative with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
Experience working across global teams and geographies.
Budget‑management experience required.
Experience leading and motivating cross‑functional teams is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: USD 90,000 – 180,000.
Variable compensation, including discretionary corporate bonus and/or incentives.
