What You’ll Do

Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.
Apply the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and propose customized advertising solutions that deliver ROI.
Facilitate the use of broadcast television, OTT video, search, social media, digital display, and email targeting for clients.
Prospect, secure appointments, perform needs analysis, and present and close sales to develop and maintain new business.
Use ratings data, market trends, and qualitative information to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates with agencies.
Provide best‑in‑class customer service, grow accounts, and generate additional business from referrals.
Perform client services such as media availability negotiations, presentation preparation, copy writing, credit applications, and revenue collection.
Manage a sales funnel through a CRM system, monitor key performance indicators, and meet expected activity levels.
Contribute to the creative development of campaigns, including storyboard and concept creation and production assistance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and entertain prospective and existing clients as appropriate.
Maintain media salesperson administrative functions, including make‑good resolution, CRM updates, and communication with sales leadership.
What You’ll Need

BS/BA in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
2+ years of proven sales success.
Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution preferred.

Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with required limits.
