Roles and Responsibilities (Key Responsibilities)
Execute the vision for US Professional Education in alignment with overall brand strategy.
Lead end-to-end development of Professional Education materials: brief creation, content design, submission, review, and deployment. Assets include educational content, event promotional drivers, supplements, discussion guides, and pre/post program surveys.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to create professional education content for speaker training, speaker programs, and symposia.
Execute operations for speaker programs and symposia, including project management, speaker contracting, budget management, sunshine reporting, and program analysis.
Assist in development and execution of trainings for KOL speakers (with event management team, medical team, and thought leader liaisons).
Liaise with cross-functional partners on selection and use of KOL speakers.
Execute advisory boards or other methods to understand key business barriers facing the ophthalmic franchise.
Build and nurture relationships across field teams and functions including congress marketing, patient marketing, medical affairs, market access, business intelligence, commercial operations, IT, and compliance.
Manage agency partners and other vendors to ensure seamless execution.
Ensure Professional Education processes, documents, and tactics follow corporate legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines.
Draft needs assessment forms and track contracts, scopes of work, and master service agreements; close out items in the system and ensure correct honorarium payment.
Administer and manage the Professional Education budget.
Education / Requirements
BS/BA degree required.
Experience
3+ years of biotech/pharma experience, predominantly in marketing/professional education roles with increasing scope and responsibility.
HCP marketing experience including peer-to-peer education, non-personal programming, advisory boards, speaker training/programs, KOL management, and agency management.
Ophthalmology experience preferred.
Experience launching new products or indications preferred.

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and manage through ambiguity.
Strong understanding of clinical decision-making, HCP behavior drivers/barriers, and educating distinct segments/customer types.
Ability to digest scientific/clinical updates and translate into marketing tactics.
Demonstrated collaboration in matrix environments and with agency partners.
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to develop creative, well-reasoned solutions.
Motivation to build infrastructure/systems/tactics supporting launch success.
Integrity and understanding of relevant rules and regulations.
Exceptional planning and project management.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence across functions and levels.
Travel domestically up to 30% and attend events outside business hours (occasional weekends/evenings).
