Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically driven
Senior Systems Specialist, Business Development Platforms
to support, enhance, and optimize the Firm’s business development and marketing technology ecosystem. This role will serve as the primary technical resource for core Business Development (BD) platforms, with a strong focus on CRM systems, integrations, workflow automation, reporting, and data governance.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with Business Development, Marketing, Information Technology, and external vendors to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions that improve operational efficiency, user experience, and strategic decision-making. This position plays a key role in shaping and advancing the Firm’s BD technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration & Optimization
Serve as the administrator and subject matter expert for BD and marketing technology platforms, with deep expertise in CRM systems such as InterAction and related tools.
Configure, maintain, and optimize CRM platforms, experience management systems, marketing automation tools, and event management platforms.
Manage user permissions, workflows, integrations, data structures, and system enhancements across the BD technology stack.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for BD applications and communication workflows.
Business & Technical Collaboration
Translate business development and marketing objectives into technical requirements and scalable system solutions.
Collaborate with Business Development, IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to prioritize and execute initiatives.
Participate in vendor roadmap discussions, release management activities, system testing, and platform evaluations.
Integrations & Automation
Manage and troubleshoot integrations across the BD ecosystem, including CRM, marketing automation, analytics, finance, HR, and website platforms.
Support vendor integrations with platforms such as Vuture, Introhive, Cvent, Litera Foundation Experience, and comparable technologies.
Develop and maintain workflow automations and process improvements using tools such as Power Automate or similar platforms.
Data Governance & Reporting
Enforce data governance standards, validation rules, taxonomies, and data integrity policies across business development systems.
Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BI or comparable reporting tools to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
Assist in maintaining accurate and reliable data to support business development strategy and decision‑making.
Training & Documentation
Create user documentation, onboarding materials, training guides, and best practices documentation.
Provide coaching and support to BD and marketing professionals to encourage effective platform adoption and utilization.
Strategic Initiatives
Contribute to the development and execution of short‑ and long‑term business development technology strategies and roadmaps.
Research emerging technologies, including AI‑powered solutions for CRM, predictive analytics, and content generation, and recommend innovative applications within BD and marketing operations.
Support technology implementations, upgrades, system rollouts, and change management initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Marketing, Business Technology, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience supporting CRM, marketing, business development, or enterprise platforms, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
Strong experience administering CRM platforms such as InterAction, Intapp DealCloud, Salesforce, or similar enterprise solutions.
Experience supporting BD technologies including Litera Foundation Experience, Introhive, Vuture, Cvent, or comparable platforms preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
Basic SQL knowledge and experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate preferred.
Experience managing platform integrations, workflows, and enterprise application support.
Familiarity with AI‑enabled technologies, generative AI tools, predictive analytics, or AI‑assisted CRM capabilities preferred.
