The Digital Marketing Strategist supports the execution of digital marketing activities by maintaining assigned digital content, preparing channel assets, and ensuring adherence to established brand and messaging standards. The role gathers requirements from stakeholders and assists in the development of user‑centered updates for web and digital platforms. Working under moderate guidance, the analyst performs tasks such as basic content updates, SEO maintenance, paid media support, and usability checks to ensure consistency across digital experiences. The position monitors campaign and channel performance using prescribed tools and prepares routine dashboards and summaries based on standard reporting templates. The analyst applies working knowledge of digital marketing processes, solves straightforward problems using established procedures, and contributes to team projects within defined parameters.
Responsibilities
Executes assigned digital content updates and campaign tasks by following established guidelines, templates, and review processes.
Reviews campaign performance using prescribed reporting tools and summarizes findings for team use.
Ensures digital content is accurate, formatted correctly, and aligned with brand and messaging standards.
Works with stakeholders to gather basic requirements and contribute to defined updates for web and digital platforms.
Researches and suggests content options within the boundaries of established campaign plans.
Prepares standard dashboards and reporting summaries based on routine performance and funnel metrics.
Monitors campaign activity and makes basic optimizations using pre‑defined best practices and direction from senior team members.
Conducts basic usability reviews, assists with A/B tests, and documents observations to support improvements to digital experiences.
Performs SEO maintenance activities—such as keyword placement, metadata updates, and link checks—using established procedures.
Supports paid search and social tasks such as audience setup and basic bid or targeting adjustments following prescribed parameters.
Checks digital content for mobile usability issues and recommends adjustments based on established guidelines.
Ensures all digital updates contribute to consistent, user‑centered experiences across platforms.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in digital marketing, web content management, or related areas.
Experience with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms; formal certifications are helpful.
Skills and Abilities
Working proficiency with CMS platforms such as HubSpot or WordPress; able to perform standard content updates using established templates.
Working proficiency with core analytics and SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Tag Manager); able to interpret basic performance data using prescribed dashboards.
Familiarity with paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social ad managers) and ability to perform routine tasks under guidance.
Basic experience creating or managing social media content across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Basic understanding of web security considerations; familiarity with tools like Cloudflare is a plus but not required at expert level.
Basic understanding of DNS concepts; able to follow established procedures for simple updates with oversight.
Foundational skills in HTML and CSS; familiarity with JavaScript or other languages is helpful but not required.
Working proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud for routine image and asset editing.
Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch; able to make basic edits using established design guidelines.
Travel and Physical Requirements
May need to move and set up materials, typically 40 lbs. or less.
May require travel up to 20%.
