The Role
The Director of Partnerships on the Accelerator team will lead the team responsible for the growth, envelopment, and management of World 50 Accelerator’s relationship with startups and other providers that bring bleeding‑edge innovative solutions to large enterprises across functional areas aligned with the World 50 Accelerator communities. You will be responsible for the revenue, GTM, and margin goal attainment in line with the targets. You will lead cross‑functional efforts across Memberships, Product, and Marketing teams to attain those goals.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development Strategy:

Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive new partnerships and achieve sponsorship, intake, and event revenue goals. The Partnership leader is responsible for the growth strategy and creation of business initiatives to deliver against the revenue and margin growth goals.

Revenue Forecasting and Reporting:

Track sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue projections for all partnership success activity (events, programming, sponsorships, etc.). Generate regular reports to inform decision‑making and drive business growth. Provide reliable forecasts.

Strategic Industry Partnership Development:

Identify and establish strategic partnerships with investors, accelerators, advisors, and other industry institutions to expand market reach and create new revenue streams. Track market trends and develop targeted strategies for business expansion aligned with key business initiatives.

Cross‑functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with Memberships, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.

Team Development:

Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment through mentorship and coaching, continuous training, constructive feedback, and recognition, fostering a culture of empowerment, growth, and collective success.

Person Requirements

7+ years in Account Management, Business Development, or Customer/Client Relations (Healthcare experience preferred)

Proven track record in delivering commercial outcomes and revenue goals

Experience managing and leading small teams

Excellent relationship management skills and poise in interacting with C-level executives

Strong work ethic, ownership, resourcefulness, and proactive drive

Superior organization, prioritization, and project management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and all Microsoft Office applications
