Skills & Competencies
5–10 years or more of sales/relationship management experience within the Professional Services sector
Experience working within or selling into law firms, preferably AmLaw 200, and/or Professional Services firms
Data, Information Services or KYC/compliance sales experience preferred but not necessary
Solid demonstrated understanding of the legal/law firm space, their procurement & buying process, and the legal data market players
Entrepreneurial style, drive and sense of urgency, coupled with the ability to work well with others as part of a solution team
Robust problem‑solving and influencing skills
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, yet integrate appropriately with sales teams and other areas within MA when necessary
Proven sales track record of capability and ability to influence key decision makers during the sales process
Ability to sell with a consultative approach and manage complex sales processes
Networking skills to identify and develop new business opportunities
Creative problem‑solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions
Highly organised with strong time management skills
Must have the motivation and ability to excel in an intense, high‑energy selling environment
Fluent English is essential; additional language capabilities are advantageous
Education
Degree educated (or equivalent), preferably in finance, business, or economics
Responsibilities
Developing and executing account commercial strategies and business plans, including providing sales forecasts and pipeline information to management
Developing and maintaining knowledge of industry trends and practices in risk management (including emerging risks such as credit, climate/ESG, cyber), KYC/AML, finance and regulatory compliance
Gaining and maintaining familiarity with client organizations and processes to help direct them toward the appropriate MA solution(s)
Acting as the point of contact for C‑Level decision makers (e.g., CRO, CFO, CDO, CTO/CIO, General Counsel, Partner‑level) to elevate the relationship as a trusted advisor
Organizing and running 200+ in‑person client meetings per year and representing MA at industry events
Generating, qualifying and converting new leads through networking and prospecting, and executing sales campaigns at existing accounts, including cross‑selling
Identifying and translating client‑based needs into compelling solutions that deliver tangible benefits
Demonstrating the superiority and value of MA’s solutions
Managing sales cycles through effective coordination and collaboration with regional and global colleagues, Operating Units (sales specialists, product management), and Sales Management
Executing strong negotiation strategies to bring sales cycles to successful closure
Providing current sales forecasts and pipeline insights to management on a regular basis
Introducing sales leads to other business units where appropriate
Making significant and regular travel to and within the assigned territory (when/where possible)
About the Team
The Professional Services sales team is responsible for driving growth across all MA product solutions within the Professional Services client segment. The team is regionally distributed but operates as a globally connected unit with the shared goal of increasing revenue and deepening relationships across accounts.
For US‑based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $113,200.00 – $164,050.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
