The Role

Duration: 6 months (Full-time)
Hourly Rate: $17.00
Location: New York, NY

We are seeking a forward-thinking student currently enrolled in a Fashion, Merchandising, or Trend Research program to join our Market Intelligence team. This role is designed for someone who lives at the intersection of fashion intuition and data analysis, with a specific interest in how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping trend forecasting.
Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis:

Research and analyze global runway shows to identify emerging themes in color, stitch, and silhouette, and track their lifecycle into the retail market.
Utilize and experiment with various AI platforms to assist in trend synthesis, image generation, and market data visualization.
Conduct seasonal retail "shop-along" and digital audits to produce comprehensive reports on pricing, assortments, and "micro-trends" seen on social media (TikTok/Instagram).
Assist in creating mood and concept boards that translate high-level research into actionable design inspiration for our knitwear teams.

Design & Merchandising Support:

Develop CADs, trend reports, and digital line sheets using Photoshop, Illustrator, and AI-enhanced tools.
Assist in visual merchandising for account presentations, including showroom setup and creating validation handouts for customers.
Maintain sample tracking, log in-house developments, and assist in the daily communication of tech packs and master sheets to our Hong Kong partners.

Requirements

Ability to use initiative
Professional, verbal and written communication skills
A strong curiosity and willingness to use different AI tools to streamline research and creative workflows
Understanding of the current fashion landscape, from luxury runway to fast-fashion retail cycles
Detail oriented
Good multi-tasker
Willingness to learn and dedication
Understanding of knitted garment construction
Building strong relationships with peers
Full Time role – 5 days/week
