for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX.
ONSITE – ONLY CANDIDATES CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE AUSTIN, TX AREA (within 50 miles) WILL BE CONSIDERED.
This role is onsite (Austin, TX 78744).
Client is seeking a highly creative and strategic Senior Art Director to join the agency’s in-house Creative Services team (CS). This position provides creative vision and strategic input for TxDOT’s traffic safety initiative “Drive Like a Texan” and its media projects, ensuring consistency between designs and alignment with campaign goals.
The ideal candidate brings exceptional taste, strong design instincts, and a deep familiarity with contemporary visual culture and design trends, including social media and internet-driven trends. The Senior Art Director should possess strong leadership skills, be able to take ownership of projects and mentor staff, leading consultation and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to understand and communicate design requirements. The role should have a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics, and the proficiency in industry‑standard technical design software necessary to create mockups, design references, and occasionally implement edits to content directly. Must possess enthusiasm for shaping visual identities and delivering impactful creative work.
