Job Description
Aramark is currently seeking a Retail Director to support Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, in Kansas City, MO! The Retail Director is responsible for leading overall retail operations. Includes day‑to‑day and event operational oversight, P&L responsibility, creating and implementing growth strategies, business analytics, as well as client and vendor relations.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client from multiple levels and departments to ensure brand integrity and development of retail program.
- Supervise the management of labor and mentor managers and associates.
- Oversee and collaborate with the retail management team to develop and execute retail plans.
- Maintain client relations, including product presentations, sales recaps, and future development plans; support positive vendor relationships.
- Oversee product selection and development from inception to delivery, recommending purchases and inventory levels based on consumer and market trends, sales strategies, and financial goals for each category and outlet.
- Utilize reporting tools to review inventory, sales, and status of each item in assigned merchandise categories.
- Manage and communicate potential discounts, special pricing, inventory concerns, and other issues impacting the business.
- Work with the HR department to hire staff, ensure proper staffing for events, and stay within payroll budget.
- Oversee development and training of customer service programs and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience, including client relations and P&L responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sports management, or related field preferred.
- Professional sports retail industry experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Availability to work a flexible event‑based schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Willingness to work hands‑on with the Aramark management team and staff.
