Production Technician
Manufacturing Production Technicians focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment. A focus on Safety First, Always! Minimum of 1 year experience in Manufacturing or Distribution is a MUST! Responsibilities include:
Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment
Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
Maintain accurate daily production records
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Lifting requirements 75+ lbs. on an occasional basis.
Medium physical effort is required to maneuver through out departments that include climbing stairs; in addition, a considerable amount of standing is necessary
Work Schedule & Hours/Days:
Openings on 8 and 12 hour night shift:
8 Hour Schedule:
A) 10:45 p.m.
7:15 a.m. (Standard work shift)
B) 6:45 a.m.
3:15 p.m. (Training could occur on this day shift)
C) 2:45 p.m. - 10:45 p.m. (Standard work shift)
12 Hour Schedule: (work 2 days - off 2 days - work 3 days - alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week)
Example Schedule: Week 1: work Monday/Tuesday - off Wednesday/Thursday - work Friday/Saturday/Sunday - 48-hour work week (Sunday starts new pay period) A (day) & B (night) work the same schedule / C (day) & D (night) work the same days.
Week 2: off Monday/Tuesday - work Wednesday/Thursday - off Friday/Saturday/Sunday - 36-hour work week (includes 12 hours from Sunday in Week 1) A (day) & B (night) work the same schedule / C (day) & D (night) work the same days
A) 7:00 a.m.
7:30 p.m. (Training could occur on this day shift)
B) 7:00 p.m.
7:30 a.m. (Standard work shift)
C) 7:00 a.m.
7:30 p.m. (Training could occur on this day shift)
D) 7:00 p.m.
7:30 a.m. (Standard work shift)
Training/Rates:
Current openings are for night shift ($21/hour), but training may occur on day shift ($20/hour).
All candidates should be submitted at $21/hour and their rate will be amended based on the training shift they are assigned to at the start of the assignment.
Duration of training period is still TBD.
OT is Required:
For 8-hour schedule, OT could be 4 hours before start time or 4 hours after end time.
For 12-hour schedule, the OT requirement is on a scheduled day off.
The goal is to provide as much notice as possible; however, there may be times when advance notice is not possible.
Bridgestone will conduct Safety, Forklift and all other required company training during group orientation once start date confirmed.
Note: Quality Training (Corporate Quality Standard will require Vision Test)
PPE Required:
Steel-toed shoes required but not provided or reimbursed by Bridgestone
Safety glasses & ear plus required and provided by Bridgestone
Candidate Selection Process:
Manager will hire off resume so candidates need to be properly vetted! Bridgestone will NOT be conducting interviews.
Staffing agency should screen, interview and select candidate based on requirements.
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred
