Job Duties:
The Digital Media Designer I provides graphic design and printing support for the SC Department of Social Services with hard and soft copy products. This includes the creation, ordering/printing, receiving, dispatching, and revision of approximately 1,500 proprietary items.
Responsible for the revision of all DSS items as requested by program areas. Responsible for maintenance of the Master Forms index located on the DSS Unite website, including the creation of fill-and-save versions of forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro. Assists in the translation process of DSS forms into various languages.
Responsible for receiving, reviewing, correcting, forwarding, and processing of all "DSS Form_1850 Request for Document Development and Printing" forms. Responsible for internal printing when less expensive or when emergency situations occur. Produces accurate, quality printing materials. Serves a liaison with the SC Department of Corrections Print Shop.
Designs, produces, and updates all printed and computer-generated graphics for forms, brochures, fliers, posters, reports, presentation, and program area special projects. Produces accurate, quality printed materials.
Provides technical assistance regarding graphics/form design policy and procedures to DSS staff. Must be computer literate and utilize computerized graphics systems. Responsible for prioritizing orders and handing rush jobs.
Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed of. Protects the agency network and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment, and data.
Performs other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High School Diploma and three (3) years of graphics experience.
An Associate Degree or higher may be substituted for all or part of the related experience.
